Since I come from A Course in Miracles and not the bible or Christianity, I look at the bible free from religion or church conditioning. I see it free from rituals and past. I look on the bible with eyes that seek for the Truth within it.
There are nuggets of truth and wisdom in the Bible that need to be shared and repeated over and over. It just so happens that the nuggets of Truth found in the Bible are always found in A Course in Miracles. What is True, is always True… no matter what book it finds itself in. I have come to have a deep respect for the bible. There are many things that contradict in the bible though, such as it affirms many times that “God is Love” but it also mentions “The wrath of God is revealed from
heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men…” How can God be loving, but also filled with wrath for those who “know not what they do”? Anyone who is “ungodly” has forgotten what Truth is. They need Love, not wrath. A God of Love would know this, and He does! This sentence, then, of the “wrath of God” cannot also be true if God is Love. We must choose. This is where A Course in Miracles training has served helpful for me. It helps me discern between truth and illusion and between holy spirit’s interpretation and ego’s, in everything. And I can look on the bible and see the truth, and let everything else fade away.
