New Podcast I interviewed Emily Bennington who is the executive director at the Circle of Atonement. Her dedication to A Course in Miracles comes from the extraordinary changes in her own life as a result of applying its teachings. This is made extremely clear in this interview where she shares her personal experiences of leaving Christianity and finding the Jesus she knew and loved, in A Course in Miracles. Her story is fascinating, inspiring and one you most definitely want to listen to.
Prior to joining the Circle, Emily led training programs on spiritual intelligence and mindful leadership for numerous Fortune 500 companies. She is also the author of three books, including Miracles at Work: Turning Inner Guidance into Outer Influence, which features a foreword by her friend Marianne Williamson.
Here is what I took away from our conversation:
1. There is a deconstruction and reconstruction happening in the Christian community
2. Jesus is the most perfect thing to ever touch this earth
3. Everything Jesus demonstrated we can become
4. Most of us have flabby attitudinal muscles that we need to strengthen
5. The biggest mistake people make when it comes to Jesus is that they let humans/other teachers or preachers interpret his message and meaning for them (instead of asking Him / Holy Spirit)
6. A Course in Miracles is Jesus’ second appearance in the world &. Jesus is pointing to God, but is God’s Son
